
He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Poli/USP (2009) and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the Regional University of Blumenau (2000), with more than 20 years of experience in Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) projects across finance, internet, public safety, education, and human resources.
For seven years, he was Technical Leader of IBM's Watson group, coordinating innovative AI initiatives in Latin America. This included solutions that reached more than 100 million user interactions in four years and projects recognized by The New York Times as among the most disruptive uses of AI in museums.
He is currently a faculty member at Insper and has published widely in ML and AI journals and conferences.
